The Eazy U-Base is the most capable overbed table we make. Its U-shaped base wraps around recliners, wheelchairs and divan beds that standard H-frame tables can't reach, and a gas-lever lift adjusts the height from 75 cm to 105 cm with one hand — even with a meal on top. The split dark-walnut top tilts to 45° for reading or a laptop while the side section stays level for your drink, on a carbon-steel frame that holds up to 30 kg and rolls on four lockable castors.
A U-shaped base that fits around your furniture
Most overbed tables slide in from one side on a standard H-frame — and stop short the moment they meet a recliner's footrest or a divan's solid base. The U-Base wraps around instead. Its open base fits around recliners, wheelchairs and divan beds, so the tabletop comes right to you — not as close as the frame allows.
Height adjustment with one hand
Squeeze the lever beneath the tabletop and the gas spring does the lifting — raise or lower the table smoothly with one hand, even with a meal on it. It sets anywhere between 75 cm and 105 cm: dining height at an armchair, working height over a bed.
A base that adjusts to what you sit on
The base itself widens from 51 cm to 76 cm — narrow enough for a single bed frame, wide enough to sit around a large recliner or wheelchair. And at just 10 cm tall, the low-profile rails tuck under all but the lowest furniture.
One side tilts, the other stays level
The main top tilts to 45° and locks firmly with a wheel knob — reading, writing or a tablet at exactly the angle you want, with a raised lip to stop things sliding. The side section stays flat throughout, so your cup sits level while your book doesn't.

I bought this after struggling to find a table that would properly go around our rise and recline chair. That's exactly what it's designed for. The U-shaped base opens from 51 cm to 76 cm wide and wraps around the chair rather than sliding in from one side, so the tabletop reaches fully across your lap — footrest out or in. If your chair's footprint is 76 cm wide or less, it fits.
Does it work with a wheelchair?
Yes. The open base fits around a wheelchair's wheels and footplates, bringing the top right over your lap — and all four castors lock so the table stays put while you eat or work.
Will it work with a divan bed?
Yes — this is the overbed table to choose for a divan. Tables that need to roll underneath the bed can't work with a divan's solid base; the U-Base wraps around it instead, with low 10 cm rails that sit close to the floor.
Is the height adjustment hard to operate?
No — it's a gas-assisted lever, like an office chair. A light squeeze under the tabletop releases the gas spring, which does the lifting for you. It's genuinely one-handed, and works even with things on the table.
Does the whole top tilt? What about my drink?
The top is split: the main 39 cm section tilts up to 45° and locks with a wheel knob, with a raised lip to stop things sliding — while the separate 20 cm side section always stays level, so a cup or glass sits safely beside your tilted book or screen.
